Multicultural & Transracial Families

Becoming an adoptive multicultural and transracial family has its own unique challenges and gratifications. Pre-adoptive parents need to consider their WHOLE families perspective on cultural and racial differences. You will become the lead at handling ANY comments and situations. Another important consideration is if your child will have the opportunity to be around peers of their same race. Building friendships and a community that has the same culture and race shows love, respect, and value for your child. A multicultural and transracial adoption can be turned into an opportunity for the whole family to grow and learn. This resource guide is not an all-inclusive list, rather a tool to help you access the information you need.
